Previous Members and Recording Artists

Barry Mason, Drums

Barry has been playing drums around for the last 15 years on the live circuit as well as having performed on numerous studio projects.
Styles ranging from light contemporary jazz up to the real hard hitting heavy rock.
Travelling around Queensland allowed him to come into contact with some of the country's biggest recording stars including the likes of Kasey Chambers and The Screaming Jets.
Barry's driving hard rock style, (as well as his multi - instrument prowess which include guitar, bass and vocals) doesn't prevent him from taking as much of a role in shaping the songs dynamics and structures as the other members. Barry has left the band to return to Queensland (some 1500 kilometres from Melbourne). The band wish him the very best in his current endeavours.

The Vocalists

Kylie Auldist

Well-known Melbourne Funk and Soul singer Kylie Auldist has been an integral part of outfits such as Brown Hornet, megabias, Curtis Late and her own band Kylie Auldist and Heavy Earth, and has worked extensively as a backing vocalist with artists such as Renee Geyer and Bomba. Her voice has been described as "penetrating, soulful and emotive", and rides confidently above the churning maelstrom of Pangolin Band's music.

Jacinta Percy

Jacinta Percy has trained as a Jazz and Rock singer, and has a strong interest in Trip Hop and Middle Eastern music. She contributes strong but flexible vocal lines to the Bossa -Nova-ish "Dragonfly", and to "Palisades", a track that only reveals the derangement of its Smashing Pumpkins influence over time.
