Paul's Amps. Paul's Amps

Music Man HD 130 Head.

This is a head with a transistor preamp section and a tube power section. I had a power amp input installed, and used it as the main power amp for most of the recording, driving the 2 12s. Unfortunately it seems to want an input level hotter than line level, making it hard to get a decent output, so I've now switched to the Peavey power amp. In addition I used this amp in the ordinary way, from the front end, which gives a glassy clean sound. This was the main sound on Cathedral, for instance, and, with a bit of the amp's tremolo, the clean rhythms on Palisades.
Listen To Cathedral.

Fender Studio 85.

A transistor amp which I used for the Afro parts in Treeline...although I can't swear it actually made the final mix.

Not pictured:

The studio's Roland Jazz Chorus, which I used on the Afro parts of Treeline, some of the clean rhythm of Treeline and maybe a couple of other things.
